If applicable, screenings are conducted in person over a 15-minute session to take a brief look at your child’s speech-language skills. At the end of the screening, there will be a review of whether a full evaluation is recommended or not.
If you have concerns about your child’s language or speech skills, this is a great quick way to determine if an evaluation is necessary.

Initial evaluations are conducted in person over the course of a 60-minute session. At the end of the evaluation, the assessment and recommendations will be reviewed. A therapy plan of care will be developed and discussed if applicable.

Individual speech therapy sessions may be offered in your home, daycare/school, virtually, and in the community. The frequency and duration of treatment will be based on individual needs.
Therapy is relationship-based and focuses on meeting your child’s needs through functional, highly motivating activities.
Becoming an active participant in the intervention process is vital. Parental coaching will take place during sessions. Repetition is essential to develop skills and generalize them across settings.

Coaching is also available for parents that want a customized one-on-one session to learn how to promote language skills during daily activities and routines to enhance their child’s language skills. This is a great option for parents that have children that do not qualify for speech therapy but want a way to incorporate language skills into daily activities!

Meet The Founder
Hi, My name is Rachael Nelson. I am a Florida licensed and ASHA Certified speech-language pathologist living in St. Petersburg, Florida, and serving the Tampa Bay Area.
I specialize in evaluating and providing therapy to children from birth to 18 with difficulties in pronouncing speech sounds correctly, using words, forming sentences, understanding language, feeding skills, and a lack of social skills. I am highly trained and have experience working with children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Development Delays, Language Delays/Disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.
Prior to founding Find My Voice Therapy Services, I worked in a prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) facility, home health, various private practices, schools, and daycares.
It is important for me to utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques and strategies to help my clients achieve their goals. I utilize a child-led and play-based approach to therapy.
I genuinely love working with children and am passionate about helping them find their voice to communicate their wants and needs.
